And there are things that can come up.
You know, I talked to one couple who said that, for example, the smoke detector went off in the middle of the night.
And unlike staying in a hotel where you could call the front desk and say, hey, can you come help me out with this?
There's really nothing that they could do.
And in different time zones, they couldn't reach the other people.
So there always is the risk of something coming up.
People who do this love it, and they keep in touch with the people who they swapped with and have really genuine connections.
So sometimes they mention things can come up where people really want to use their car, for example, and they're not quite comfortable with it or their insurance won't cover it.
But overall, people say that they get an experience that they never would have had otherwise.
They're living in smaller towns and communities.
This one couple spoke of getting to know a local bakery and getting a baguette out of the vending machine when they were in rural France.
People are having dinner with their neighbors who they've met for the first time, and they genuinely seem to have really positive experiences.
