You're late for work, you need to go, or someone's pushing you to get off the train, and you're like, what's up his, what bumblebee crawled up your pants today, or whatever.
So all of these things happen to you, especially if you live in a space like mine.
And even if you don't, it can.
You're dropping your kids off to schools.
The road is closed.
You're like all of these things.
And so what I do is on days that I just allow myself the space to say, this is what I can offer.
I'm going to let it roll off my shoulder or nothing's getting
past me today so when I'm upset and I yell or I say something like chill I feel good about it like I feel good about myself I feel confident I feel like I know me Allie's being Allie today because Allie knows Allie today like she's checked in with Allie today like you know what I mean we don't check in with ourselves and so I don't want to be reactionary all the time and this is something and so even coming back to work being a mom it was really important for me and for most of the days in the beginning it's like
I would come back to this as like my theme.
Your son is loved and you are loved.
And so you go through the day knowing today he's okay and you're okay.
He's okay and you're okay.
And that was my anchoring.
So I'm sitting in the meeting and maybe I'm not, you know, again, like I'm paying attention, but what would pop into my head is like, am I doing the right thing?
Should I be at home?
Is this even important?
You know, like I started.
Yes, and it's been great.
