So like, I'm part of the, I know that somebody similar to me or somebody that shares the same affinities as me exists.
However, I don't do anything to contribute to that community.
I'm not participating in it.
But I'm spending all of my time looking at people who are doing things, part of things.
And then the ramifications that that has, I think, are huge.
And then thinking about that second space.
So like the people you physically see, but don't necessarily have deep emotional connection or an affinity to.
you're you don't speak to them and then fundamentally you lose the muscle of being comfortable speaking to them so like whenever you let something go for the first time it kind of like compounds and builds so if you didn't say hi to your neighbor the first time now you feel like oh my god it might be even a little too late for me to start saying hi so now the second time and the third time
And now you're like, oh, I can't start being nice.
I can't be her friend now because it's been three months and I've never said hi.
And that would be weird.
And so I think what keeps happening, that's why that second space is constantly falling apart.
And I think it's a muscle you build over time.
And then that muscle atrophies.
And so people are like, oh, I can't say hi to the person in my gym or it would be weird because I never talked to my bodega guy before.
And that allows, like, a lot of very isolating, very mean, very disembodied experience in wherever you are physically.
You're not actually there because you don't really feel part of it.
Exactly.
And I think even more than that, when you think about where we are right now, it's all about me.
And I think the idea of convenience and entertainment, and I want things to be convenient for me and very entertaining for me all the time, is a reason why
