True, true. Well, while we don't have Don and you are stuck with us, we have a fantastic guest for you this evening. Amaka Nadeau is the host of the Gentle Chaos podcast, which explores community and personal growth. She also happens, unfortunately for her, to be one of my oldest and dearest friends. We have shared many a margarita and many a monologue with one another for more than a decade now. Jesus. Amaka, how are you doing?

I'm doing swell. I can't be better. I'm amongst incredible companies, so I'm just really excited to be here. I'm doing pretty well.
Lovely. Well, we've got some deeply depressing and some fun topics to talk about today, but I feel like we should start with the breaking news. Andy, if you wouldn't mind throwing up a headline. This broke just about an hour ago, a little bit more. The Supreme Court is allowing Trump's ban on transgender folks in the military to take effect while court challenges continue to take place. None of us are lawyers, unfortunately, so we cannot dig into the nitty gritty of this. I believe it was a six to three decision, though. Very short. The liberals, the folks that you would expect, dissented. Any top line thoughts, guys, just on this, on the fact that MAGA Trump in particular is so intent on denying patriotic Americans who are willing to put their lives on the line to defend this country from from doing just that.
It strikes me that they didn't offer any justification, any reasoning. I mean, we know what it is. It's bigotry. But normally they would offer some kind of reasoning behind their ruling.
Mox, any thoughts?
It's shocking, and I think it goes to once again open the eyes of how quickly a single person can dismantle and change the American government and the things that have been in place. So I think it's really disheartening, but I'm interested to see what some more justification and explanation around it will be.
Yeah, and as I said, this will be an ongoing fight. We're hoping to have a friend of the show, Monique, on later this week. So she can discuss what this means, what the implications are, so on and so forth. But for now, we'll put that aside and we'll talk about the true shit show of the day, which was the Oval Office meeting between Donald Trump and Canadian PM Mark Carney, recently elected. Let's get a little bit of a taste of the clown show that was. This is Trump. ranting and raving about how the U.S. doesn't really need Canada at all to Mark Carney's face.
We want to make our own cars. We don't really want cars from Canada. And we put tariffs on cars from Canada. And at a certain point, it won't make economic sense for Canada to build those cars. And we don't want steel from Canada because we're making our own steel and we're having massive steel plants being built right now as we speak. We really don't want canadian steel and we don't want canadian aluminum and various other things because we want to be able to do it ourselves and we because of you know past thinking of people we have a tremendous deficit with canada in other words they have a surplus with us and there's no reason for us to be subsidizing Canada. Canada's a place that will have to be able to take care of itself economically.
I assume they can. I will tell you that Trudeau, when I spoke to him, I used to call him Governor Trudeau.
