And we're going to get to Carmelo's parents who have also spoken out in the aftermath of all of this in just minutes.
a moment but the huge clip that's like going crazy is this watermelon felon thing which before we get there let me lay out a little bit more about what jet mech have had to say in this three hour plus interview let's let's hear it from him very diversified we we don't see color we're not racist we have friends of all diversities nationality ethnicities it doesn't matter
Okay.
So we'll start there.
And he gives one of these like old school takes, which I'm sure many of us have heard before.
Like if you've, if you've heard a boomer talk about race or like a Gen X or talk about race, it's pretty much, I don't see color.
I don't see color.
And of course the retort back is everybody sees color, but what is he actually trying to say that I'm judging you based off your character, the content of your character as a MLK junior would have said, he goes on somewhere in this three hour conversation.
you know, interview to say, I'm a racist if you're an asshole.
So like this is just to me like this sort of like gruff, abrasive American dad with a pretty classical stance on race and racism coming forward and saying, hey, I don't see color.
I begged for this trial not to be made about race, to just be viewed on the facts of the matter and what's took place in this altercation.
And then you guys made it about race and you called me a racist.
So when my one moment speak after a year of getting what he says, you know, tied to a chair and slapped in the face over his son's murder again, let's, let's continue that his son's murder.
I think there's going to be some anger and some rage now should do the best of us, not, you know, lean into that anger and rage.
Sure.
But my goodness, can you blame him?
I don't know what I would say.
I don't know what I would say, uh, if I was in this situation.
to be honest.
Oh, yeah, totally.
