So yeah, in regards to Austin Metcalf's dad and his comments, just felt like a person who was set up to talk too soon and who I think had so much energy behind wanting to be able to speak because of the things that he's endured for the past year that all spawned from his son being stabbed in the heart.

So that's a situation that I can't even put my...

You know, I can't put my feet into his shoes and even begin to imagine what that feels like or the amount of anger and hatred I would feel in the different stages of going through the grieving process.

He seems to be dead in the middle of the grieving process from what we're seeing.

And that speaks to something because it's been a year and a trial and all of this stuff.

He has a long way to go in his life.

And will he maybe look back on what he said and regret some of the statements made?

Sure.

I mean, is it going to be even close to the amount of regret he feels for not being right with his son at that track meet when they got into that altercation and his son died in his brother's arms, I believe?

I don't think it's going to be even close to the amount of regret he feels in regard to that situation.

So there's just nothing that compares to what was the catalyst for all that we're responding to right now.

Does that excuse the foul mouth statements he made?

No.

Does it give context?

Totally.
