There's just so much that needs to go right in therapy for I feel it to have a positive effect.

Just sometimes I meet people who are in therapy and who are therapists and I go, hmm.
I think we're all gonna be in this position for a really long time.
And I don't know that a lot of progress is happening in these situations.
And this is not to write off all therapy.
As I said at the top, there are plenty of times in which I've met people who seem to be very deeply helped by therapy.
But a lot of times, a lot of times it seems they aren't.
Let's keep watching.
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.
So you go to therapy, you have all these conversations, presumably surrounding your mother.
You go, okay, I'm gonna go tell my mom everything my therapist is saying.
The mom goes, okay, well, let me come and meet this therapist.
I wanna come into this therapy session.
The therapist agrees, even though the therapist should not have agreed because clearly she was not well equipped to deal with these two individuals in the same room together and get them to have a healthy conversation and should have maybe deferred to somebody else or should have given different advice.
They both come to the therapy session, what, in three times, three instances.
So you get, what, three hours with these individuals and you decide, no, I cannot have conversations with these two.
