The other day I shared a video about how my parents and I have gone no contact and it has been fascinating to see the world respond to me.
Over on TikTok, about 80% of the comments are nothing but encouraging and supporting and relating and loving.
And those comments are coming from all races, which will be important in a moment.
20% of those comments over on TikTok are not kind, but they're not cruel either.
What I find fascinating is that 80-20 ratio is flipped on Instagram.
Now I have about a dozen private messages thanking me for sharing my voice, people asking me how they can be better foster parents, a few people truly relating to my experience.
Okay, let's pause there.

Why would the response be different on TikTok than the response on Instagram?
