I mean, even every time I saw her, I'd cry when she'd leave.
I'd cry when I get off the phone with her.
And it was hard.
I mean, we didn't have FaceTime like we do now to be able to like see her.
You know, I got to see her during the holidays and that was about it.
I mean, we lived in the same state, but it's so far away from the side that I'm on.
So it's I mean, you know, I got to as I got older, I went to go visit her that one time a year.
But, you know, not long enough.
I went to cosmetology school here in Buffalo and she graduated here and then she moved to the Bronx.
And that's where, you know, she was trying to make enough money to hopefully open a salon.
I don't know if her plan was to open one there or open one home, but she definitely wanted to have her own salon.
They were mostly people that were in the same line of work.
She definitely missed being home with family.
Um, I know she didn't really like it here as much because there's not as much to do here.
And like the nightlife kind of ends early here where, you know, in the city you can go to Times Square and there's things going on, you know, almost at all hours of the night.
So she definitely liked that.
She was in a relationship when she first moved there with a man that was from here in Buffalo and then they parted ways.
And then that's when she ended up with her pimp slash boyfriend.
And then, you know, she got sick of not having any money for herself.
So she parted ways from him as well, because that was depressing, not having enough money for yourself.
