A government task force set up to target black market cigarettes says it shut down a network and raided eight stores that were selling products.
The Joint Customs Police and Health Bust has seen five people arrested and more than 1.3 million cigarettes seized in raids across Auckland, the Waikato and Rotorua.

The problem is the bill isn't getting much support, with opponents outraged.
Furious protesters gathered outside Parliament late last week and handed the government a petition with more than 16,000 signatures, all against the new Disability Services Support Bill.
This is a terrible bill.
Firstly, it is lazy.
And people are frightened by this bill.
Shame.
The government argues that the new legislation will make it easier for people to understand what support is available, who qualifies and how decisions are made.
