not openly in conflict with Starmer, but he has been antagonistic.
He's been sort of making comments that have showed that he was at odds with the way the current leadership were operating.
So he hasn't hidden his unhappiness with the way Starmer was leading the country.
And he obviously sees himself as someone who can bring those different corners of Labour together and possibly bring in other voters who are seeing reform and now restore the other right party party.

So I think Andy Burnham sees himself as a sort of great saviour against the right-wing parties.
But what do voters make of this, Michael?
Because, you know, they voted in Kia Stama two years ago and now they've got, he's going and they've got someone else.
Yeah, it's a really awkward spot for Andy Burnham to be in because on one hand he is a seasoned politician.
Burnham became an MP in 2001, serving as a junior minister under Tony Blair.
He has a great record in Manchester.
He is well-liked in Manchester.
He has experience as a Secretary of State and a Junior Minister in the Labour government in the 2000s.
But at the same time, he hasn't won a general election.
He's coming in on the back of
as we've just talked about, a young man stepping aside and giving up his seat in the hope that Andy Burnham could win it.
So he doesn't have that same kind of national mandate from the wider electorate.
So the big question is, you know, does he do what Gordon Brown did in the late 2000s where he took over from Tony Blair?
