And also as you introduce yourself, could you mention your relationship to the cult of dark tourism?
Yeah, some kind of pirating is on the rise.
But we are here to talk about dark tourism and out of the gate as a pioneer of dark tourism media.
What do you think is the single cultiest thing about this industry as a whole?
Understandable.
Your like soft delivery in articulating these horrors.
I mean, it's part of your brand, but it's uh it never gets old.
I have to say, I mean, this individual that you're describing, if he's not a cult leader, I don't know who is.
I mean, he's like torturing people under the guise of this like alluring experience that like if you're able to reach the highest level to go clear in the context.
of his experience than like you'll ascend beyond what any other human has ever been meant to, but it's also like a bit.
I mean, you were saying one of the more surprising things that you observed was that people were not more self-aware about it.
Do you think people go into these experiences with a sense of irony or are they just following their impulses?
It's fascinating too because in another episode that you mentioned, another experience, the narco tourism element where you like went to Columbia and like explored some of Pablo Escobar's territory.
That was one story that you told in that episode, but the word cult was not uttered as a part of that storyline.
But then there was another dark tourist experience that you had in Colombia that was presented as an interaction with a known cult, which was the Santa Muerte, which is like this grassroots community that formed around this one woman who kind of like celebrates.
Death or like has all these like rituals and touchstones and relics aimed at not glorifying death, but allowing people to become familiar with death, less afraid of death.
