Well, certainly the top tier leadership has been eliminated.
And I think we're dealing with the third strength.
What I'm reading in the media is that the third string is even more determined in terms of the agenda of the Islamic Republic, promoting the agenda of the Islamic Republic.
They're even more conservative.
They're even more far to the right than the previous leadership.
I don't buy that at all.
because I think that this is just the remnants of the regime.
My view is that you're not going to have a permanent solution until you have a true regime change.
That regime change has to come from the people of Iran.
And the people have risen up.
They rose up in January.
As I said, there were over 30,000 protesters that were killed.
And they will, I think, in time.
hopefully sooner rather than later, rise up again and take down this regime.
In terms of...
trusting the remnants of this regime when they say that they're not going to have a nuclear weapon?
Well, I think like their predecessors, if their lips are moving, they're lying.
And you can't trust them because they've violated every agreement on the nuclear front that they've signed, whether it's the NPT, whether it's the IAEA safeguards, whether it's the Obama JCPOA, all agreements have been violated.
And I would think that unless we do have a total cessation of enrichment and the removal of centrifuges, the removal of the infrastructure that allows enrichment, and we have, of course, the ability to go in, take out the fissile material that I mentioned, the 60% enriched uranium.
Now, that at least buys us time.
