similar to the ones that previous presidents have negotiated, were in deep trouble because of the lessons that have been learned by the remnants of this regime.
I would say that, you know, that the that the that the regime has demonstrated a very effective capability for negotiate.
They know how to negotiate.
And they play for time and they win.
They won over and over and over on the nuclear issue until now.
And the JCPOA is exhibit A in terms of an Iranian win.
But at the end of the day, I think we need to recognize that this is an evil regime.
You mentioned arrests and the lack of due process.
It's not just the lack of due process.
If you're arrested, you're almost certainly tortured.
And if you're any, you know, any threat at all, at any level to the regime, you're executed.
This is a truly evil regime that we're dealing with.
And we may be dealing with the second string or the third string, and we may say they're different than the first string, but not really.
Not if they're guided by the same ideology, by the same motivations.
That has always been characteristic of the Islamic Republic.
And we need to internalize that.
And we need to, in my view, do what we can to facilitate the Iranian people taking over the government.
Regime change from within, not with U.S.
