When politicians on the domestic level start speaking about politics on the national level, it means that they want to distract the discourse from their failures.

How convenient it is for the New York City mayor to speak about Netanyahu rather than about education and transportation and the failure to have subsidized supermarkets and free public transportation and the deficit in the budget, etc.

Yes, Israelis are very involved with it.

There is a hope in Israel, I think, that the faster the situation in New York City deteriorates,

the faster New Yorkers will understand what a grave mistake it was to actually elect Mamdani as a mayor.

However, since New York City is way stronger than Mamdani, it might take some time.

And that's the worrying point in which there are going to be many, many Mamdanis between the two oceans, between Los Angeles and New York City.

And that's what worries Israelis the most, I think.
