And there is a kind of, not Darwinian, but there is a kind of market discipline where, like James May, you would say that actually in order to protect and grow the great tradition and stop the decline of the great British pub, you've got to be honest about the fact that some aren't doing their job well enough. matched

and that even as you try and get some to flourish, others that aren't serving the needs of a community and aren't commercially viable are just going to disappear. matched
