Our first question is from Daryl.
11 times your annual salary.
But what about the idea that £350,000 is actually not at all easy to afford?
If you're a nurse on £35,000, you're not going to have 10 times that to afford a house.
It's not free, but it isn't subsidised.
It's not affordable.
I mean, a lot of
people hear the word affordable and say what they'd hope a single mom with two kids who's working really hard as a nursery assistant on 27 000 pounds maybe outside of london um even less they could afford it they certainly couldn't afford 350 000 so look affordability means lots of things sure people it's actually got a technical definition which we bat out of the water which is 20 less than the kind of market rate yeah we're already kind of 40 less so we're massively affordable on that basis so that's the that's one yardstick
