Let's jump in, Paul.
We've obviously known each other for a few years now.
So first off, I've always been really fascinated.
Obviously, I spoke to you before you were at Next, etc.
as well.
And your path into UX research has always been really cool and interesting to me.
So tell me a bit more about that.
How did you go from where you are to where you are today and then leading the UX research practice in Tamloy?
And the way you are now, what are the differences between what your day-to-day looked like eight years ago when you first came into the practice to your day-to-day at Next now?

And I think it's an interesting path that, especially within Next, that you've taken to get that more strategic touch point.
I mean, a lot of the customers I speak to, a lot of the prospects I speak to, and just generally within the industry,
having that left shift is what I speak about from tactical research into having more strategic conversations, having that impact at that senior exec level has been really difficult for individuals and teams.
Tell me a bit about how things have changed, how you've driven change within Next from, I mean, we started speaking about four or five years ago, trying to noodle away with user testing.
What's changed in that period of time?
And that strategic piece is really interesting to me.
You've mentioned what the product owners, I can't remember what you call them.
thinking about what they cared about I speak a lot about the communications gap that we have internally from the language that we use as US research and design and the language that is used in other parts of the business is a lot more business focused essentially tell me a bit about how you managed to start closing those gaps and how you started being able to have those richer conversations hmm
