So you've managed to get designers thinking about research and testing.
That's bought you the capacity to get things from a different perspective and start having conversations with different leaders.
So you've literally enacted that change transformation process from a UX research perspective internally.
And one of the things that we've spoken about previously is you've told me about how rather than you having to actively go and knock on their door and take them for coffees or bacon rolls, et cetera, they're now pointing to you and asking you for help.
Yeah.
adding value is also a key part of all of that.
And there's one example that we've spoken about quite a lot again as well.
Walk us through that example.
How did you show the value and impact
of user research within Next and this project kind of got the ball rolling for you quite early on.
So one of the challenges I hear from UX researchers and designers a lot of the time is when I try and have this conversation with them and say, you've got to take ownership of that metric.
They say that, but we've not had that impact.
How do we know that it's purely research work that's had that impact on that final business metric?
What's your advice to people from that kind of perspective?
How did you get that sort of traction that you wanted?
And that sort of mindset shift of being asked to do something tactically, go and get some customer feedback, versus go and get some customer feedback and you responding with, okay, I can do that, but why?
That was a really important step, the change that you'd made there.
