My weekend experience was this free flowers in our hair, people sitting in the windowsills in the church.

I mean, it was so vibrant.

And I remember walking out of chapel one day going, God, you could use some PR down here because nobody cares about...

these chapel programs.

And I just walked over to, Ida Nell McMurray was the headmistress, even that name, I'm sure it's different now, head of school now.

And I walked over and said, are students allowed to do chapel programs?

And she said, no one's ever asked, what are you going to do?

And I said, I don't know, maybe music.

And I signed up for a program and I thought, well, I better start writing some songs.

And so I look up why I started music ever was to start a conversation.

And I don't feel like I've ever really veered from that.

But then I was like.

Um, so, so I'm, I, after I had, you know, 10 songs, maybe a friend of mine from church said, Hey, I, he worked with a youth group, which I was part of.

I had a big crush on him, but he said, my job is at a recording studio and the class I'm taking at Belmont.

I have access to studio time, but I don't need it.

Any chance you want to go record your songs?

I was 15.

And I said, like in a real studio.

Yeah.

And I went just myself and a man named Bill Loki, who was also a kid.
