And so there was only a few of us college folk that actually got drafted that year.

So I was very lucky to get in there and learn the ropes from the ground up from a lot of great pros.

And it was only two or three years in existence.

And so we were just kind of figuring out the pro game ourselves in the WNBA at the time.

You know, now the games are on TV, uh, the growth in popularity with, you know, the likes of, you know, Paige Beckers, Caitlin Clark, you name it.

their household names.

It's so I'm so proud that people will wear jerseys and shirts and you name it walking around.

Um, it's been great because my franchise is now the Aces, the Las Vegas Aces.

And, you know, even if I'm in Cedar Rapids, you know if I have an Aces shirt on, somebody will call me out because it's not fever.

It's just funny because, you know, people are territorial about it now, which is nice because that that hadn't happened in the past.

And so it's nice to see the kids, guys and girls, young girl guys and girls that like the game and want to go and sold out arenas.

You know, we might have had eight thousand or so in the stands, but it was more local based.

Now people travel.

If if they can't get a ticket in Chicago, they'll go to where the next closest venue is.

And then also seeing um some of the franchises come back to life.

So Portland was around when I was there.

Uh it went away and then now it's back due to popularity.

That's been nice to see growth and expansion.

Um, and instead of retracting it's growing.

And so it's just great to see so much growth in that thirty year mark.
