Because I'd been we'd been at this for a while and we'd read multiple books and I look at him and I said, It's sex, you know, it's like how babies are made when penis goes in the vagina and he's like, Oh yes, and he like, stop talking, which is how my child is wired.
So uh so we start with those kind of basic physiological parts.
So think about it like we talk about this the facts, like the facts and science of sex, like what goes where, you know, how things work, body parts changes, uh, safe touch, you know, a little bit about consent, uh, you know, just in terms of people agree to do this, really clear message that sex is not for kids and that every adult knows that.
Every adult and older kids knows that no knows
That sex and touching private parts and sexual touching is not for children.
They just say those words explicitly.
And then as they get older, you're gonna get more detailed.
So by the time they hit middle school, so that's sixth grade-ish, right?
They need to know the basics of everything.
And when I say everything, I mean everything.
I mean oral sex, anal sex, STDs, HIV, everything.
Different kinds
Kinds of relationships, gay, straight, gender stuff, like the whole tamale.
And when I say the basics, I mean literally the basics.
We're not the joy of sex for our kids.
You know, we don't need to explain how to give a blowjob.
We don't
We need to explain what a blowjob is.
So for us as parents, that means that we need to be a little ahead of the game, right?
We need to be uh looking for opportunities for conversation.
