And then when my son was about four, he was getting ready for a bath and I thought he was gonna tell me it felt good to touch his penis.

And I just freaked out like in my head and I'm like, oh no.

You better not tell me it feels good to touch your penis, because I got nothing.

I don't know what to say to you.

I don't know how to explain to you what's going on.

Please don't talk to me about your penis.

So I had this whole internal, ridiculous, in retrospect, dialogue.

And uh that was the moment where I thought, oh crap, I am not ready to have a conversation with a kid about sex.

And it wasn't even about sex, it was just about his bod.

So that led me to doing some research, and then I realized that I was probably not the only parent on the planet that was gonna potentially suck at these conversations.

So I decided to start a company, and my company's called Birds and Bees and Kids, and my whole goal was to help parents figure out how to have values-based, research-based, effective, fun conversations with their kiddos.

And

You know, I don't work with children at all.

I just work with my one lovely now sixteen year old human being who is completely mortified by my work.

Super fun over here.

And so Milo's 16, and my husband Carrie and I have been married for a long time.

I can never remember.

I think it's 23 years or maybe 25.
