The AI chip deal between OpenAI and Broadcom has reportedly hit a financing snag.

The Information Reports Broadcom has said it would finance the first phase, about $18 billion, but only if Microsoft agrees to buy roughly 40% of the chips.

Microsoft has earmarked some data center space for the chips, but has not agreed to purchase them.

WTI now at $96 a barrel and Brent crude closing in on $102 a barrel.

The U.S.

is reportedly looking to restart the operation to reopen the Strait of Hormuz perhaps as soon as this week.

The Wall Street Journal reporting that Saudi Arabia and Kuwait have lifted restrictions on the U.S.

military's use of their bases.
