I think it's really important because we spend so much time playing the inside game and that's great.
It's great to play the inside game and be known internally and do everything you can to progress your team and your campaign within a business.
But what about outside the business?
I'd like to see more people
stepping onto Q&A panels to bring that talent to a broader community.
And I'd like to see people building their profile that goes well beyond the business and it goes across the industry.
to investing yourself often and as often as you can because we can't give anything if we're not growing.
And we're all knowledge workers now.
I'm sure the majority of the people listening to the podcast are knowledge workers.
So if we're not growing, we can't give anything.
We can't create value.
So my advice is to listen to the World Economic Forum data around dedicating 25 days a year to continuous learning.
because that's what's going to move you forward.
Your business can't – like I've constantly been investing in myself at great expense to my superannuation because I know that if I'm moving forward, you know, I couldn't have written FutureFit unless I took myself –
to an exponential innovation program in Silicon Valley.
That was a very expensive exercise.
So when you don't have budget from the business, you've got to find it yourself.
You've got to be relentless and curious about growing your brain and being able to translate that into how you give to the business and the industry that you're working in.
really be beneficial to your growth as well learning comes in so many different formats and even podcasts like this that's micro learning so as long as you're reading listening to podcasts you know there's a really good point to make here and that is that the fastest growing segment of the population the workforce in the u.s prior to covid was that high-end gigster and they as it turns out
when it comes to continuous learning were the segment of the workforce who were investing the most in their own learning.
