But the aftermath.

Yeah, but we had two really long days of a week.

But actually, do you know what?

And the house was, God, I can't even begin to think of how many hundreds of people came, you know, but it felt like the whole town and towns beside us, like it felt like that's what happened, you know, they came.

But my friends were great and my sister's friends were great and my mum's friends and our family, they were brilliant.

And like they were, like people were brilliant.

I found I got huge comfort from the wake.

I know everybody treats the wake very differently.

People get different things from it.

People want different things.

I found the wake really helped me.

Yeah.

We stayed up at night when everyone left at 10.

We had a couple of drinks.

Our friends were there.

Our family were there.

I actually know just for me on a personal level, I got massive comfort from that.

that helped me process it begins yeah but even you're talking about dad and you're telling stories about dad and your family and friends are telling stories and like it kind of allowed me to kind of sit in the room and sort of and laugh you know and have fun talking about him you know and about the life yeah and I really found that massively helped me like it definitely did you know and I know everyone deals with it totally different and there's no right or there's no right or wrong way yeah but it massively

helped me to begin the process of saying goodbye I suppose yeah yeah it did I do think it's a real important part and it can give a lot of comfort oh my god yeah it really does because it's pure love actually yeah cheesy as that sounds but it's it's this display of love that we care you know the community comes together to help you out you know and the respect they have for your dad yeah that's very heartwarming it is I think that's why I found such comfort in it was that I kind of you knew he mattered
