Yeah, well, we're from South Donegal, so we're from, I'm from Ballyshannon.

Oh, okay.

But that's actually, that's a surfing spot.

Yeah.

Bandooran and Ballyshannon were big surf spots but we were very close to Ross's Point in Sligo so we were only like 35 minutes away so I would have spent all of my summers up and down with my dad sailing in Sligo so yeah so I suppose like you know he himself was massively like work focused from I was a very young age it was always about like my friends used to call my dad education education education because there used to be this program location location location yeah years ago

and he was absolutely and utterly obsessed with from we were no age was what are you going to do when you're older and he never used to always say I don't care what you do you can do whatever the hell you want you just have to have some way of making money so I don't care whether you go to college or you get into a trade or you do whatever your profession is but you just need to have a way of making money and that would have been something he drove into us from we were no age so it was always about like you know homework and

Like he would have been really focused on that and having a job and working hard at your job and, you know, and kind of all that goes with that.

So I suppose I probably now look back at 41 and think,

Probably inherited a lot of my own work ethic from him.

Because it's what I know.

Like my mum, both my parents are self-employed.

So my mum's obviously in the pub trade and runs the pub, our family pub.

But my sister, they run that.

So kind of being self-employed and the getting up and, you know, having to do your work for yourself every day.

It was kind of something, that was the house we kind of grew up in, you know.

It's like his values, isn't it?

It was really important.

Yeah, it was really important to him, like being able to make money yourself, never being reliant on somebody and always being able to have some capacity to make money and find something you really enjoy doing.

So for him, that was, you know, he was obviously loves animals, loved the outdoors, loved dealing with people.

So veterinary was his fit.
