But I just want to highlight how important it was to have a state-of-the-art school built in the Woodbridge District in the North Woodbridge area.

That's one of the oldest parts of the county and has some of the oldest schools, some of the oldest infrastructure.

So to see that come up alongside all the other revitalization efforts that this board has worked on over the years was important.

But it also, I think, I'll just say it this way, it redefines and reimagines how I think some people look at Woodbridge.

I'll just say it candidly, people say Hood Bridge all the time because they have this certain stigma about what that area looks like, who lives there, how they live, all these different ideas in their head about the folks that live there.

Well, you can't look at a school that's as vibrant, as full of life, and as promising as that Woodbridge Elementary School and want to use that term for that area anymore.

So I just wanted to highlight that and emphasize that.

It goes back to something that Supervisor Stewart said earlier and that we've been talking about.

The long and short of it is that back during the General Assembly session, I've talked about this before, there was a bill by Delegate McAuliffe that would have established a groundwater study for Western Loudoun and Fauquier counties.

That bill died, but it miraculously resurrected as a budget amendment that was ultimately passed by the General Assembly.
