Um, to that end, I'm gonna agree with a lot of what my colleagues have already said.

Um, you know, we have talked about the ability for us to diversify our tax base, for us to bring in economic developments, um, not just the data centers, but other uh business ventures that we've been able to bring this county over the last five or six years have been able to do that.

We're in a place where we're able to not only look at right now, uh

Providing some relief for our residents, but also really invest in places this county has been unable to for a long time.

Under the county execs a leadership and other folks who have been with the county for quite some time.

We're able to lean in on the people that help deliver services to this county, where they public safety, social workers, planners, clerks, all the rank and file folks that just are under the hood of this county every single day.

We may be able to make those investments and do so in a meaningful way without overburdening the taxpayers.

But as some of my uh colleagues have said, we have an opportunity this year to really lean into one uh source of uh uh uh of concern and strain for families across this county.

You know, last year we tried to do a sort of an all of the above approach.

Folks felt a little bit here and there, but I don't think that folks really felt that in a meaningful way.

So I think that this year, gonna

piggyback my colleagues, we should focus on one area that no one has control over, which is having a place to live in that your rent, your mortgage.

And also for businesses, if you are rent or or you own your space, having to pay real estate on those areas as well.

So I'm very interested in having a conversation with this board today on really leaning in and lowering the res the real estate tax rate because that will really help uh all folks of all stripes again on our

fundamental thing of whether it's your business or especially your home, you'll be able to see real uh relief there.
