Um there's definitely a lots of things that are changing and the biggest change is the speed.
At which you can create new products and services and at which you can take those products and services internationally.
This is definitely not something that the trademark system uh or even the international trademark registration system was designed to cope with, right?
It was based on the assumption that it takes significant time and effort for someone to
copy you and t you know, take it in to a different country.
And uh it was perfectly adequate for that world.
The new world not so much.
And uh
Uh how long it's gonna take the the governments to do something about it, I don't know.
So there it's it's it's a funny thing because governments don't like to lose power.
Right, they like to uh keep things going the way they've always been done.
So uh even though everyone, you know, I'm I'm not saying anything that no one else understands, right?
Everyone knows that the the old system where it takes you four years to register a trademark and it's just one country and you uh if you add new products to your application you have to start from scratch.

It doesn't really address the needs of today's businesses.
Uh, but that's what we have today.
Right.
And uh, I mean, I can be sitting on your podcast and bitching about the system as it should be all day long, but I think the real um help that we can do is basically help entrepreneurs use the system as it is and uh maybe add
advocate for you know changes later.
