So if you have a Fannie and Freddie mortgage, you may have already been able to avail yourself of this type of relief.
But for people with FHA mortgages who tend to have lower incomes and credit scores than people with Fannie and Freddie mortgages, this would help them if they're still struggling.

The Biden administration has been fairly focused on making sure there isn't a wave of evictions and foreclosures in the fall.
They've imposed a foreclosure moratorium that expires at the end of July.
And they've also taken some steps to the CFPB, for instance.
They've imposed new rules that effectively restrict mortgage companies from foreclosing on people this year, unless they go through a bunch of steps to make sure that there really aren't other options.
The latest on that is that there is a lot of money that remains undistributed.
Congress has appropriated about $47 billion to help tenants who are in arrears.
Only about $3 billion of that has found its way to landlords and tenants as of the end of June.
It's just taken a while to get the programs off the ground.
There's also just confusion, like a lot of landlords and tenants aren't aware of the rental assistance that's available.
And the Biden administration has been kind of scrambling to get those programs going, to get the money flowing, but some of it's out of their hands.
They can only prod state and local governments so much.

There's more than 400 grantees that have their own individual programs.
So it's kind of like inventing the wheel like over 400 times again.
Each jurisdiction has to figure out how you collect these requests and document the back rent that people want to collect.
And they all have different programs.
