I think most people in this country are angry about this.
They're angry about the way in which the police have connived with the left over these ludicrous arguments about racism, about transgender, about everything else that is connected with the left.
And they're angry about that.
But I think they also see that at the heart of this is a story about a young lad who died because the police didn't take the right sort of action as a consequence of him being accused of being racist.
And I think that is the thing which is going to hang around, hang around the necks of this government for a long time.
Yeah, I think it has.
I think the fact that at least there has been an acknowledgement that the police call it badly wrong is fine.
What they have to do now is kind of accept that they got it wrong for a number of political reasons.
And number one of those is that they were transported by the notion of racism.
That was the one thing which, above all else, mattered to them.
It was all about racism.
And that's why one young lad died.
And, well, he could easily have been saved.
Well, it's a partial solution.
I mean, there are two things, aren't there?
One of them is...
Because race is now so politically charged, if you're involved in a crime and you're black or Asian, the temptation is always to call the race card because it works.
It gets you off the hook.
And so there is that on the one hand.
And then on the other hand, there is also the fact that, you know, with the best will in the world, I don't know what should have been done in this particular incident.
