And then over a period of months he worked with um club doctors, independent doctors, independent insurance advisors, the club board for a safe return to play after he got the medical clearance.
And so but this is something that happened two and a half years ago.
So when
Craig finishes up as the chairman of Geelong and becomes chairman of the AFL.
He has his knowledge, but that isn't necessarily imparted every single thing that happened at Geelong to the AFL.
So when we became aware via the Herald Sun that there was an agreement going around, we didn't know about that.
We went to the clubs and then ultimately it it came out that that was the agreement.

On Thursday, I think it was when it was in the Herald Sun, the player didn't want to be identified and as absolutely is his right and he put out a statement later that day where he did identify himself but made it really clear that he's um disappointed that his private medi might might have even been stronger than disappointed that his private inf medical information has been made public without his consent.
Yeah, I look uh yeah, but I'm I'm not saying disappointed.
I think what we have are rules and regulations and we've um written to Geelong yesterday asking them as when Steve's gone out and said it was a procedural misstep, w it should have been lodged.
I think if the agreement had been lodged with the AFL through the channels, questions would have been asked, players' association would have been involved, we'd be in a different position.
Again, given the complex and unique nature of this case, but also how important this issue is for uh the AFL and its clubs and its players, as well as sports worldwide, is that we wanted to make sure that we had all the information and it was important, if we could, for the AFL and the players' association to be aligned.
And we were able to do that and we were able to put out a statement, and it took a while to for us to land it, that um
The waiver shouldn't have been there.
It's not it now has no effect.
It's been removed and Geelong were on the board of saying that.
And then also reminding clubs that i agreements of this type should be lodged with the AFL.
