As some people thought he might even get in this past cycle because he had made such a splash by beating Terry McAuliffe in 2021.
And it does seem like the calculation that he is making is, you know, we're going to do everything we can to to keep Democrats from swooping back into power in this upcoming election.
That would not be much of a much of a.
resume burnishing legacy for him himself.
But the main thing here is that is that he does not want to be kind of the nail that sticks out that then gets hammered down because, I mean, there's an enormous amount of pressure.
I mean, Elon Musk has a gigantic megaphone.
Donald Trump has a gigantic megaphone.
And because there's this weird dynamic where because basically the entire Republican Party has now fallen behind these guys, there's a disproportionate amount of anger and
and, and rage that goes toward any one person who steps out of line.
Like in 2018, 2019, you would hear criticism of Donald Trump, right.

And, and it would be kind of diffuse the response because there were so many Republicans still criticizing him.
Now it's like, you don't want to be the one guy who's going to say, actually, some of these Elon cuts are really dumb.
Because if you say that every podcast, every, every kind of like Steve Bannon and, and Jack Posobiec and, and,
And Dan Bongino and all these guys will like feature you and and send their armies after you.
And Elon will tweet about you and Donald Trump will tweet about you.
