And so I think for the first time, we are really seeing the same sort of like public facing, everything's fine, everything's great, everything's going exactly according to plan, but very obvious and kind of well-reported, real scrambling now behind the scenes in a lot of
I don't mean to discount the kind of chaos that we were seeing with Elon Musk and Doge and all that stuff a couple weeks ago, but compared to this sort of thing, it almost feels a little quaint.
I mean, who knows what the next catastrophe is that's going to make this one look like a silly thing that we can be nostalgic for, but
But yeah, I mean, for the time being, it really is.
I mean, Donald Trump flying by the seat of his pants and everybody else sort of scurrying to try and backfill some kind of sense, some kind of superstructure that that can actually be translated into policy on on his whatever his latest impulse might be.
Yeah, well, I mean, obviously Musk is still there.
He's still doing his doge tinkering behind the scenes.
He was there at the cabinet meeting today offering kind of a progress report on how they're doing, you know, the savings that they're accumulating and things like that.
But Musk is actually, I mean, it isn't really his area for the White House, international trade policy and things like that.
And in fact, he is personally...
very against a lot of the stuff that's been happening in the trade war he's been popping off uh pretty pretty nakedly pretty publicly on x against uh trump's favorite internal trade advisor peter navarro who's kind of like the mastermind um behind a lot of this stuff who like basically among everybody in the administration the guy who most shares sort of trump's own deep uh
just kind of bedrock faith in the power of tariffs to regenerate.
Yeah.
I mean, the White House has been saying all along, anytime you have these reports of disputes between Musk and someone else, they'll deny them.
They'll say it's fake news.
They'll say everyone's on the same team rowing in the same direction.
That's a little harder when you get Peter Navarro up on TV, you know, kind of going after Elon Musk, saying he's not a car manufacturer.
He's a car assembler saying like, Elon, build all those engines, build all those batteries, do it here in America.
And then Elon Musk gets on X and calls him, he says he's lying or deceived, calls him dumber than a sack of bricks.
