And back in his first term, buying Greenland was one of those stories.

I mean, this was kind of a three-day story or something like that.

I think it was in 2019.

I guess I don't remember that off the top of my head where he got this exact B in his bonnet.

Yeah.

Where he said, you know, I think we're really going to do it.

We're going to we're going to try to buy Greenland.

And there was a big media frenzy.

And then he kind of moved on.

And it was like, well, shouldn't we have spent more time paying attention to the actual things he's doing behind the scenes?

They're actually going to really impact the lives of Americans.

I take that point.

I think that the point I was trying to make in this argument or in this in this piece this morning is that.

The fact that he is now bringing these back around is a little different this time around.

I mean, it's not just been a one or two day thing.

This has been a thing that he has been leaning on for weeks and months.

It's in keeping with kind of his central foreign policy impulses, which is that other people have been kind of skating on U.S.

largesse.
