But even if he finally does have this sort of come to Jesus moment, like I have to fix this immediately or my party is toast in November, even then he doesn't have a good buffet of options for how he would actually go about fixing it again, even if he had that realization.
So he's in he's in really bad shape.
So let me give you the best answer I can give you, which unfortunately is kind of a bleak answer here, which is just that what we are seeing from sort of mass public polling, there was a new CBS poll out yesterday, a new New York Times poll out this morning, it does show that there is a real cooling of support in the president's core base.
It's only, you know, we have always considered, at least the conventional wisdom has long been,
that there's 30%, 35% of the country who are ride or die with this guy.
That's sort of the MAGA, you know, I don't know what the best word is.
They really, really like him.
The MAGA base.
MAGA faithful.
The MAGA faithful, yes, sure.
And now, you know, even these people are, they're not abandoning him, but they are cooling.
It's something like 20% of the country, 25% of the country,
is still strongly supportive.
22% of the country is still strongly supportive.
Another 20% or another 10 or 15%, yeah, they like it.
They think he's doing okay.
