There is lots of things that go wrong with having to choose who's a winner, who's a loser.

But it seems like there's no free lunch, that if you want to break down the walls between insiders and outsiders, it becomes very hard to guarantee higher pay for the people who are working in the area.

No, no.

Well, it's just a trade-off.

The flexibility of gig work is great, but high pay for a fixed set of workers is great.

There's a trade-off.

I don't think there's a free lunch where you get win-win.
