dad became terminal she was like no i'm out of here i'm gonna spend the last two months my husband's life with my husband like which was fair enough like i thought and she had done she had made great progress so we were all kind of like even dad was like that's fine yeah like yeah we've kind of got what we wanted out of it like okay so then after your dad dies and even yourself you're of course like everyone has to go and live their own life yeah so you're in college yes yeah yeah

I was living up in Maynooth and then moved up to Dublin then, so I didn't really see it.

And I used to think people were mean to her when they were saying that she should come off them.
I was like, you don't understand it.
Like, you know, you don't know how much pain she's in.

Like, you know, and like you'd see her and she'd literally be limping around the place, like, and you'd feel so bad for her, like, and it was a lot of sympathy.
So I was like, that's fine.
Like, she needs them and stuff.
And yeah, the idea of addiction never popped into my head, like.
Yeah.
So in July 2023, so this is approaching three years since dad dies.
