So he was there illegally.

So they chucked him in jail and he gained refugee status.

This is as I understand it.

So you better fact check me on this, everyone.

But essentially he was in Indonesia for 11 years as a refugee and then finally made it into Australia.

Now, I'd lost contact with him years ago and I thought he was dead.

And in fact, he's lost contact with the other guys too.

So we don't know where they are.

And they're people that fought with us.

And essentially, they were great, great guys.

He went and saw the film.

no well his uh his father was killed by the taliban his family is currently on the run uh they're not in afghanistan at the moment but they're in hiding uh from taliban in other countries because he served with us so his whole family is now targeted because of that service so it's sad state of affairs isn't it but he he went and saw the film and he's sitting there he got

I know these people, and handed in his contact details to whoever's presenting it here in Adelaide, and I got handed them, and so I've been in contact with him again.

It was an amazing story.
