The commandos actually helped evolve the dog capability for SO Command and they still hold it to this day.
So yeah, I got a lot of time for those guys.
And then two squadron came over and said, we need a dog handler.
So I stayed on.
So I deployed with all three squadrons in 2007.

How long did you spend over in Afghan?
Yes, it's seven or eight months or something like that.
Because that was one of the shorter trips back then?
Yes, the May to December, so seven months.
