At the back end of the year you'll start to see uh good growth.
I think over the course of the year it's going to be slow and measured improvement.
Um and when we get that first rate cut, I think it's gonna have a significant impact on the psyche of consumers as well as business people that is likely um
uh far greater than the actual impact it will have on cash flow.
Uh and it's back to the point that, you know, businesses are confidence players, frankly consumers uh also, and I just think it will create um a positive uh environment uh for for spending and and and for employment growth as well.

And we've got to be careful here because we I think being a newcomer to Australia, it's I sometimes feel that we talk ourselves down.
We talk the country down and we talk the e economy down.
And as Australians, we're a society that, you know, focuses on uh equity and equitable outcomes and and people who might be doing it tough.
Um
Uh but that can sometimes take uh a significant proportion of the national narrative.
Uh and there are large tracts of the economy, as I said, sectorally or regionally, even demographically, you know, they're large tracts doing quite well, particularly older Australians who own a home and have paid off their home loan.
Uh they very rarely get uh any uh media nationality.
And therefore there is that risk that
the dialogue in the country uh is is on is a negative skew which can in itself dampen optimism and confidence.
Well talk it up then, Andrew.
Look, Australia w is is called the lucky country for a reason.
Um we have incredible weather, uh beauty, natural beauty.
Uh we have proximity to some of the fastest growing markets in the world, uh Asian markets near our borders.
