That's the first time we've done that in a long time and we really need to essentially continue to do what we're doing.
We're we've changed our organizational structure for proprietary bankers.
We've improved their tools and the CRM that they use, uh and we've made it easier them for them to be successful and as a result
More proprietary bankers uh and even brokers for that matter are choosing to come to NAB uh and to work on our platform.
And uh that's encouraging.
But you know, it's been one year, one year uh only, and we've got to repeat our performance for the foreseeable future.
Um that doesn't mean that we uh won't also serve customers through brokers.
Customers have that choice uh and we want to continue.
We continue to be a good broker bank, which we have been for a number of years.
We've been a less good proprietary bank and that's what we're seeking uh to change.
Well look, I'd say first of all, all the Australian banks trade at very high price earnings multiples compared to global peers.
Um and actually NAB would be one of the most highly priced um bank stocks in the world.
Um CBA is right now uh in its own league in terms of uh PE ratio and is price like tank companies.
Uh uh I think the two things I would suggest that are happening here.
One is the bank's been a good performing bank for a number of years, uh frankly decades.
Uh and you know, maybe other peers haven't uh consistently been as good uh
for as long.
Uh at our bank, I think we've improved in the last three or four years, firstly under Ross's leadership and uh I've been in the seat now for a little over a year, but we've got to keep performing well time and time and time again for investors to have confidence to price your future earnings at a higher premium than they'd price um peers.
That's what this is all about.
The second thing that's probably unique to CBA is the fact that it was a bank that was privatized.
