And like every property that I have, all healthy homes compliant.
The majority of them are new.
They're decent properties in decent areas.
And the rent is very fair.
Like it's set by property managers.
So I don't try and price gouge.
I think that right now, if you'd entered the market in the last few years, I could 100% understand that you would imagine that that is the case.
But I guess for people, you've got to look at, well, if it's not property investment, what are you going to do for your future self and for your future wealth?
And property is not the solution for everyone.
But for most people in New Zealand, they don't have a lot of cash.
They don't have hundreds of thousands of dollars in the bank.
But what they do have is equity.
Now, your equity doesn't do anything other than give you a nice place to live.
But that's not going to be much help when you get to retirement.
So if you can access some of that and use that to get ahead and you've got the stomach for it, then I think it's the right thing for most people.
No, at the end of the day, I actually think there should be a capital gains tax.
I've got no problem with that.
Ed disagrees with me.
But I don't see a problem with it at all.
Well, I mean, I'm going to at some stage, right?
