Like he's a, he's like a cultural touchstone for them in a lot of ways.
And so is Dort.
I'm really, I'm a little bit torn on how I feel about what they do with him.
And especially yesterday, he was asked about the team option and kind of what he thought would happen this summer.
And he didn't.
basically just like wrote a love letter to the thunder as he's sitting there in front of us.
And I even was like, okay, well, your role has diminished this year.
And, and maybe like the lowest minutes since your rookie season, your minutes were down in the playoffs.
Your shot attempts are down.
All these things are down.
Like, how did you process that?
He just talked about how much he loved Mark Dagnall and respects the decision that he made.
He's like, I don't even know if I would be the player I am in the NBA without the Thunder, without Mark Dagnall, and I respect their decisions.
You know, there was like, no, like, hey, I understood it, but I didn't like it.
It's kind of what I thought I would hear.
But he just talked about how much he loved being part of the Thunder and wants to stay in OKC, which makes sense.
I just wonder if you do what you said, give him a lesser contract and tell him you're going to have a bench role because I do think the ascendance of AJ Mitchell is happening.
