Rachel Janfaza, our mutual friend, has been brilliant on this issue of this divide between Gen Z and why their support between Republicans and Democrats is so starkly different when you hit that 21, 22 year gap.
And I think it's because for 18 to 21-year-olds, they went to middle school and high school during COVID, during a time when many blue governors and sometimes even Biden himself died.
enacted policies that made them made it really tough to socialize with friends.
And they viewed the government as the bad guy because all they wanted to do was get rid of their mask and go to school and go to prom.
Their prom was cancelled.
And so I think it's probably something closer to they are railing against
the authorities who tried to keep them down.
I don't think it has anything to do with policy.
Um, I think that they found Republicans and they found what they found in Republicans and what they found in Trump is someone and a party, you know,
that I think allows them to just be more themselves without fear of policing.
You know, they don't have to self-police.
Right, right.
At least they feel that way.
Yeah.
If I can begin with that, actually, I'd love to... Go for it, yeah.
I think since you and I have gone to college, culture has moved a mile a minute and really shifted like crazy.
And as you said, MAGA did feel ascendant after the election.
