As a primary character, it didn't work for me.

Because the character wasn't developed as somebody who was in the spotlight, in front and centre.
She wasn't... Her character as herself was in the background and shy and she had the great brain, but she didn't want the credit.
She didn't want... She wanted to cower away from...
you know, the limelight, if you will.
She didn't want anything to do with that.
And then she was, for me, she was then thrust into the limelight.
And I didn't believe that that character would, would want that.
Now that Chris isn't here, we could steal what he said to him the first time he met him, which...

It was a finders keepers signing and he was late because he'd gone to the wrong place or they'd gone in the wrong direction.
Whatever happened.
Three hours in the wrong direction.
So he raced back, got into the hall, was like the last person in the queue to get his book signed and he stood in front of King and King looked up at him and the best that Chris could manage was
I love you.
And then his wife basically apologized for her husband and said, could you sign the book for him?
