You know, I live my life by that golden rule.
My faith is my why.
The golden rule says to treat everyone like my neighbor and the parable of the Good Samaritan says everyone is my neighbor.
But yes, I'm comfortable with what I'm asking for here because I would fully expect
If I was gone for six weeks as governor, for someone to say, hey, you need to talk to the people of Kentucky.
If I'm out a week, I'm expected to do that.
But if you go back to COVID, which I had to govern through.
If you were exposed as governor, you needed to come forward, even though you could still work, even though maybe you had to isolate for a period of time.
So I'm more than comfortable in how I'm calling for it.
The challenge here is it continues to add fuel to the fire when he simply refuses to do a short video
and it creates the impression that maybe he can't.
Now, I certainly hope that he can.
I've known members of his family for a good part of my life, and we want him to be okay.
But the people of Kentucky deserve a basic level of transparency.
Oh, I think that we are all civil to each other.
Now, my dad ran against Mitch McConnell in 1996.
I remember the race.
And that didn't turn out well for the Beshears.
But Mitch McConnell has now tried to beat me three straight times in a Trump-plus-31 state.
And we have beaten him every single time.
