And I think given where we are now, you have to have a degree of radicalism to change it.

I don't think neoliberalism, trickle-down economics, has been kind enough
to a lot of places across Britain, particularly the places that were the industrial centres of Britain.

the kind of consensus and start talking about those things in a different way.
And it's what I've started to do.
But you have to be sensible about it in terms of what solutions do you bring forward.
And you have to be pragmatic about it.
No, it doesn't.
It doesn't because the status quo is the worst of all worlds.
That's the issue, isn't it?
Let's just look at what we've got right now.
Millions of people are going without their basic needs being met because the system isn't good enough to meet their basic daily needs.
So that's the first thing.
Second thing, you have millions of family carers, people like my mum who tried to care for my dad at home, who in the end are actually the main issue we discovered as a family.
My mum was sinking under the pressure of trying to make it work when the care system couldn't make it work for her.
