Gailly just steps in to block Solanke.
Solanke at that point is then winding up to take a shot.
And as he takes his shot, that foot that Gailly's pushed in, steps into Solanke's path.
There, he makes no contact on the ball, Gay, until he steps on the heel of Solanke, if anything else.
But he hasn't made contact with the ball.
He's stepped into Solanke.

What I'm trying to say to you is that whether it's...
Whether you think it's a foul or not, the point is the VAR has to decide whether there is a clear and obvious error.
I think there's elements of it for him looking at that thinking it doesn't feel like a foul, it doesn't look like a foul.
Those mitigating circumstances that he's looking at thinking, well, I'm really not sure, and the VAR has always encouraged them.
They're in that grey zone of am I sure, am I not sure.
They're asked to step away from recommending a non-fibre review.
And so I can understand why there wasn't one on the day.
