Totally understand your points and they're all valid, but if you're looking from the VAR's perspective, he's looking for an absolute clear error in that moment and he doesn't feel that he's seen one.

And there's been quite a few players I've spoken to today and I heard yesterday are the opposite opinion.

So I think it is completely split.

I think you want to be really careful about...

expecting an ex-player to go into the AR hub and being 100 times better than what they've currently got because it's a tough, tough job and I don't know if you guys have ever tried it.

It's a tough gig and it's not quite as straightforward or as easy as you probably think it is.

So I don't think we're going to get potentially any different or any better outcomes.

I don't know if you guys have ever experienced it or have had any dealings with the AR at all, but it's probably worth doing it and just getting that experience.

But I don't think necessarily a football background is going to help you in every situation.

Yeah, it's something I've advocated for a long time.

And I just think that is the next step for the Premier League to move to an open mic system where everybody can hear the comms because everyone at some point will hear the comms eventually.

And it just, like you say, it just clears up any confusion on the day.

This is a FIFA directive that don't currently allow that to happen.

The reasons I'm not 100% sure.

I think it's something to do with, you know, if they've changed the rule for the Premier League, they have to change the rule for every league in the world.

And I don't think they're ready for that step yet.

But it is quite frustrating and I think it will clear up and add value to where we are in terms of the current access to where we're at.
